Preparing our role-play!

Hello everyone!

How are you? I hope you are enjoying a lot!

In this post you have some guideliness to help you when preparing your role-play as journalists!


  • Prepare what you want to say. 
  • Tell the piece of news in a progressive way. 
    • First of all, you must tell when and where that event has happened.
    • Then, you can start telling what has happened.
    • Finally, add the end of the piece of news.
  • As we are going to pretend that we are journalist, you can write some key words to guide your role-play.
  • Remember that you are a group of four people! So you have to share the workload and each of you can tell a part of the story.

  • In the introduction you can add an attractive sentence such as:

  • Then, it is important to say the most important characteristics of your gadget:
                          With it you can answer your phone calls and listen to your favourite music! It has a battery up to 48 hours and it is amazing.
  • To finish, you can add a final sentence:
Buy it! It is the best thing that you can do!

Creating our PowerPoint!

Hello everyone!

Here you are going to find some tips to create your PowerPoint about routines in English-speaking countries. Enjoy!

Step 1: Decide the content that you are going to add in each slide.

Step 2: Start creating your PowerPoint. Some ideas for the slides:

  • In the first slide it is important to write the cover, in which your names and the title of the work should be included.
  • In the second slide you can start adding the routines of one of the countries, such as England.
  • Then, you can continue adding more slides for the different countries.
  • In the last slide, it is advisable to add a "thank you for listening"
Step 3: Add some images to make it more attractive.

Step 4: Check the content.

Step 5: Check the vocabulary.

Writing our speech!

In this post you can find some ideas to write your speech for the radio broadcast. 

Steps:

1. Write a small greeting: When listening to a radio broadcast, it is advisable to start with a greeting such as:

Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about holidays in different parts of the world.

2. Start telling the information: It should be well structured by using connectors like moreover, besides, too, nevertheless... 
Because of the fu can act that we are talking about the different continents, you can also add firstly, secondly...

3. End with a conclusion and a farewell: When finishing our radio broadcast we can make a small conclusion and say a funny farewell:

Well, as you can see you can go where you want, but be careful with the weather! See you in the next radio broadcast! Take care!


Tips:

  • When listening to radio we only hear voices. Consequently, you cannot make gestures but you can change your tone of voice to transmit happiness, refusal...
  • It is very important that the ideas are well connected.
  • The introduction and the end have to be appealing.
